Private Investments

As part of our Private Equity capital allocation strategy, we strive to enhance diversity within the Board, management team, and overall workforce at our portfolio firms. Our goal is to collaborate with company management to assess the current state of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and incorporate an action plan for driving change, utilizing ESG blueprints for new investments. We actively engage with the firms in our portfolio, providing DEI diagnostics, tools, and expertise to support their DEI initiatives. Throughout 2021, management teams in North America, Europe, and Asia received DEI resources covering regulatory oversight, hiring, talent development, inclusive cultures, and stakeholder engagement from our Private Equity company.

Financial Markets

Our teams in capital markets are dedicated to enticing excellent candidates who represent the spectrum of the largest talent pools. Our credit team wants to increase inclusion, diversity, and equity throughout the company, particularly among our investment personnel and portfolio investments. We discuss issues including governance, accountability procedures, team building initiatives, and fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture. We apply these ideas to our investments, which include increased diversity on boards, on management teams, and throughout the company. We also apply these ideas to our involvement in the community and our support of ethnic fairness and social justice.
